ASA Co-Chair’s 2018 AFS 316(b) Symposium

American Fisheries Society 148th Annual Meeting, Atlantic City, NJ, August 19-23. The symposium:Challenges in Protecting Fish and Shellfish at Cooling Water Intakes: Case Studies and Experiences Complying with the 2014 Clean Water Act 316(b) Rule, is cosponsored by the Bioengineering and Habitat Sections of AFS. Dan Giza (ASA Senior Environmental Scientist) is co-chairing the coordinating committee for this symposium with Ron Heun (Exelon) and Jon Black (EPRI). This symposium has close to 30 talks, many by ASA staff, over two days, including a keynote address from Doug Dixon, recently retired from EPRI.
