Mr. Taylor's professional career has ranged from building and managing databases and writing software, to design, construction, and deployment of fisheries sampling gear, to managing field projects. Mr. Taylor is proficient in the use of a wide variety of data management, analysis, and quantitative software including STATA, SAS, R, and MS Access. He has also written software using traditional programming languages such as FORTRAN and C++. Mr. Taylor has experience analyzing data using parametric and nonparametric techniques for univariate and multivariate problems. His engineering and biological background give him a unique perspective on experimental design, data collection, data management, data analysis, and quality control. His hands-on engineering and mechanical skills allow for design of experiments and apparatus to answer questions and solve difficult problems.
